When Shahin Ahad from Block Property Solutions looked to grow his business, he turned to Mansfield Innovation Centre for support.
A BSc graduate in Business & Marketing, Shahin created Block Property Solutions in 2016, initially to provide contract services to block managing agents such as commercial cleaning & property maintenance. From 2021 the business has developed further to offer a complete management service for leasehold properties – including ensuring landlords and tenants are fulfilling their obligations set within their lease, handling all day-to-day management and resident issues, and arranging periodical Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessments.
Shahin has worked with Mansfield Innovation Centre’s Innovation Director David Smith to develop a structured growth plan for Block Property Solutions and the early signs are very positive. David also helped Block Property Solutions to secure a Business Growth Grant from Mansfield District Council to escalate the growth plan.
Shahin said “With David’s support, we are now 6 months ahead of our initial growth plan and we have a regular stream of new clients taking up our services. The business coaching has helped me to develop systems and processes and focus on the priority actions for growth”.
“The grant funding will allow Block Property Solutions to implement our marketing strategy and assist with the cost of IT equipment required to maintain the level of service that our customers expect”.
