Seeking a prestigious new location for their business, Christy and Rayann contacted Mansfield Innovation Centre who had recently reconfigured space to accommodate fledgling businesses. Securing one of the newly available offices, Christy and Rayann found themselves at the heart of a bustling entrepreneurial hub.
Located on Hamilton Way, the centre hosts over 30 burgeoning businesses, providing fully serviced offices, virtual office facilities, hot desks, and meeting spaces. Under the management of Oxford Innovation Space, clients benefit from tailored support and coaching to fuel their growth trajectory.
Innovation Director David Smith, facilitated Rayann and Christy's application for a Business Start-Up grant from Mansfield District Council. Guiding them through the process, he aided in refining their business plan and cash flow forecasts. They successfully secured £2,000, earmarked for a radio marketing campaign, professional photography for marketing collateral and website, plus additional training to diversify their service portfolio.
Rayann praised the centre team, emphasising David's instrumental role in securing the grant and its impact in enhancing their local presence therefore attracting new clientele.
She commented: “We’ve been really pleased by the whole experience of working with Mansfield Innovation Centre. David’s support with the grant application was invaluable, and the funding will enable us to establish a stronger presence in Mansfield, get our name out to more local businesses and attract more customers.”
